Mallorca, Spain is not only the largest island among the Balearic Islands of Spain, but is very popular as one of Spain’s most coveted destinations. Palma de Mallorca is the capital of Mallorca and the major tourist destination in Mallorca. You can see so much of the past evident in Mallorca, the reason why many find this place so intriguing yet very fascinating at the same time. Castell de Bellver in Palma de Mallorca is a popular site that houses remains of Muslim ruins, archaeological discoveries and historical sculptures. The Museo de Arte Español Contemporáneo, Pueblo Español, Cathedral de Mallorca and Museo Catedralicio are all markedly admired museums, but these are only some of the remarkable artistic structures seen in the vicinity of Palma de Mallorca. Other Mallorca catches include Soller, Valldemossa, Placa d’Espanya, Placa Major, Playa de Palma, Palma Cathedral, Mallorca Caves (the most visited site), Mallorca Harbor Front and Serra de Tramuntana, which is the sequence of mountains running along northwest of Mallorca. Although the landscape is indeed mountainous, it is admirably picturesque with beautiful pine trees. This leads you to the destination cities of Pollenca, Soller, Alcudia, Andratx and many more. Alcudia by the way is the place where you can shop till you drop. Ranging from the average shops wherein you can buy just about anything everyday and at a very reasonable price, to chic ones that sell chic clothes and cool things that you will only find in Mallorca. There are also the weekly markets, local craft shops and boutiques that proffer tourist gifts. This place is worth all the time for a leisurely stroll through the charming town. Undeniably the stunning place of Mallorca can offer you so much to do that no single time spent is ever enough for your holidays.

 Authentic Mallorca Cuisine

AAuthentic Mallorca CuisineMallorca is the dubious perfect place for restaurant hopping or eating out. The variety of choices is superb and excellent. This place has every kind of eating place imaginable; from chic restaurants with the entire international range- Chinese, Italian, Indian, British, Thai, American cuisine to conventional Spanish (with delicious paella and tapas) cuisine. Whatever sort of cuisne you like you will find it in Mallorca.

Mallorca is the best for guy or gal watching or generally people watching. Usually, groups of people just sit around all day in a café watching others go by. Lomo con col in the menu is actually pork loin enfold in cabbage which is then simmered with pine nuts. Suckling pig or Lechona is a cuisine that is served for fiesta celebration or any special celebrations. This is made tender by long gradual roasting most often in wood-fired ovens. Try the succulent crispy skin of this Mallorcan delicacy and taste pork at its best.

Have you ever wondered how a ratatouille tastes like? Then taste tumbet. This is the Mallorcan kind or version for ratatouille. Well there is a recent cartoon movie titled Ratatouille which is shown worldwide.

Recently, Mallorca has refurbished itself with the emphasis regarding on more upmarket tourism, encouraging tourists as well to explore the island’s captivating coastline and its other panoramic sceneries. The best part that interest tourists in Mallorca is its fascinating resorts. The best resorts in Mallorca that tourists should not miss to visit include;

Alcudia—this resort is nestling in the north of Mallorca within the 54km from Palma. It is best describe as a very friendly, family resort that caters incredible beaches, comfortable accommodation and great line of bards and restaurants. Most tourists visiting here almost all came from Europe and considered as one of the most of the sophisticated resorts.

Cala Millor—describe as the largest and well-known resort within the east coast of Mallorca. It features as a family resort which has a golden sandy beach that stretch for about a kilometer in front of the various hotels, restaurants and bars. Most of the visitors visiting here are German; however it is always open to the public of whatever races.

Cala Bona—this is one of the most incredible resorts in Mallorca. It nestled just north of Cala Millor particularly on Mallorca’s east coast. Most of the visitors in here are British who mostly love to wander around the walkway from Cala Millor. Aside from the British people, there are also Germans who loves to visit Cala Bona.

Can Pastilla—famous as a long well-established holiday resort at the nearby Palma de Mallorca airport; visitor’s visiting the place are mostly British, Spanish and German which reflects the type of restaurants and bars that aligned in here.

Cala Mayor—is appointed as the first resort at the west of Palma. During its past history way back in 1980s this resort is very famous and progressive, however because the resort experienced suffering it was eventually fall down and recently became residential rather than touristy, though there are new businesses established in here.

Cala San Vicente—this tiny resort is nestling on the northwest coast of Mallorca nearby Pollensa. This place has still been visited with tourists however, it never break its record originally as a fishing village. This resort contains three different coves that feature blue clear crystal water. And the Cavall Bernat Mountain is one of the most attractive images found in Cala San Vicente.
