 365 Days in Mallorca

365 Days in MallorcaMALLORCA is the most developing tourism spot in the Balearic Archipelago. Whereas its sister island of Ibiza is still the best and the most visited island in the archipelago, Mallorca has come to age so to speak. Every summer, people from different continents literally troop there to escape the summer heat, frolic tasting sherry and other wine and cocktail mixes in the island the coldest way possible and tan themselves till the wee hours of day. They also do some skinny dipping in the island and of course, there are nudist beaches there.

Nudist beaches there however are sort of private clubs and they are for members only. So they need you to become a member first before you go inside. This is to keep the beaches away from voyeurs. Naturism is after all a serious business and a serious notion. It is not just about being naked. It really is a way of life without malice at all. But membership of the club is already a lifetime one and you can even bring your family for free if you have one. Of course, you can bring your girlfriend with you but you must pay an extra cost.

Nudist beaches in Mallorca are not just beaches per se. They also double as golf courses and you can play a round literally in the nude with caddies in the nude too. So much for the nudist beaches though. The real Mallorca and its capital Palma del Mallorca is littered with tourists all summer long. They come in different kinds but most of them are English- and Dutch-speaking. However, there is an influx lately of tourists from Paris who are not just Parisians by the way but also a horde of other nationalities such as Filipinos, Australians and Nigerians. They just come from Paris and most of those who come here are exchange students in France who want to go to Palma del Mallorca.

It is no wonder that the beaches here are excellent ones to go to. Each beach is being inspected regularly by the Spanish government especially during the summer season. They are then given blue flag accreditation if they have passed the inspections. A blue flag accreditation ensures that these beach resorts have quality standards. One of the newest attractions in their beach resorts is the availability of a 24-hour nursery. Run by child psychologists and equipped with state-of-the-art play facilities, these nurseries are established so that no one can disturb your honeymoon in Palma del Mallorca.

During winter, Palma del Mallorca can be pretty cold but not as cold as you cannot anymore go outside to shop. In fact, shopping is a haven here with huge discounts on just about anything else. Shopping here in Christmas comes as early as after the Day of the Dead, even earlier than Thanksgiving or Black Friday in the United States. Without doubt, that means too that various novelty and practical items are up for grabs with humungous discounts attached to them.

Once your year’s over, it maybe worth looking into what else is available! Do the research whilst away and you’ll be able to take best advantage of the offers available to travellers - particularly good are train deals. A eurorail pass can save you a lot of money (for enjoying on your holiday), give you much flexibility whilst away and furthermore, allow you to see even more of Europe!
